Speaker: Risa B. Weisberg, PhD

Dr. Risa Weisberg is the Chief Clinical Officer at RealizedCare, a digital therapeutics company focused on increasing access to effective cognitive-behavioral interventions for behavioral problems. In this role, she oversees clinical content and research strategy. She is a licensed clinical psychologist and renowned expert in cognitive-behavioral therapy. Dr. Weisberg is also a Professor of Psychiatry at Boston University School of Medicine and an Adjunct Professor of Family Medicine at Brown University. Dr. Weisberg is a Fellow and former member of the Board of Directors of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapy. She sits on the Scientific Council of the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, where she was the Treasurer and served two terms on the Board of Directors. Dr. Weisberg’s mission is to make high quality, evidence-based behavioral health treatment more accessible. She is an active and prolific researcher, having been continually funded through 18 grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and other research foundations for the last two decades. She is a frequent grant reviewer for NIH and international scientific funding agencies. She has authored or co-authored nearly 100 journal articles, book chapters, and books. Her research focuses on developing and evaluating brief, more scalable interventions for common mental and behavioral health problems, including chronic pain, anxiety, depression, opioid use disorder, and living with other chronic medical problems. She lives outside Boston with her husband, their two daughters, and their somewhat spoiled Portuguese Water Dog.

Speaker: Hans Morefield

Hans Morefield is the CEO of CHESS Health, a New York-based technology company delivering an end-to-end platform for the addiction management lifecycle. After six years with Ernst & Young’s health care consulting practice, Morefield was an 11-year member of the leadership team at SCI Solutions, which grew from a startup to serve hundreds of health systems with patient access and care coordination functionality. Morefield went on to lead the care coordination and population health business at Experian Health, before assuming the CEO role at CHESS Health in 2017. He is an expert and frequent speaker on the subject on emerging health care technologies, including care coordination, patient engagement and digital therapy. Morefield is a graduate and trustee of Kalamazoo College in Michigan.

Speaker: Benjamin Alouf, MD, MBA

Dr. Alouf has spent 30 years in the healthcare space as faculty, attending physician and division chief in large hospital organizations. He has been a health plan medical director and executive, as well as a chief medical officer of a digital therapeutics company developing software as a medical device (SaMD) for adolescent mental health. He is an invited speaker on panels at
national meetings, sits on advisory boards, speaks on webinars including one by the American Medical Association as a SME, and advises domestic and international digital health companies wishing to enter the US healthcare market. He is an advocate for digital health and has attended over 50 meetings with legislators to support reimbursement policies surrounding digital health products. He currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer of the Digital Therapeutics Alliance working on educating clinicians seeking more options of care for their patients, improving patient access to these essential therapies, working with health plans to assure a pathway to reimbursement, and advocating for legislation and regulations to assure the future success of digital therapeutics.

Speaker: Acacia Parks, PhD

Acacia Parks is a digital health executive whose experience revolves around scientific, product, and regulatory strategy for digital therapeutics/software as medical device (SAMD). Her work spans 11 different companies and 17 different indications, including cancer, obesity, treatment-resistant depression, Alzheimer's, social anxiety, ADHD, myopia, and chronic disease. She specializes in products with high scientific and regulatory complexity, including combined hardware/software packages, novel mechanisms of action and delivery methods, and combination drug/DTx products.

Speaker: Dr. Eliane Boucher

Eliane Boucher earned her PhD in Social/Personality Psychology from Queen's University in 2009, where her research focused on the intersection of social psychology and mental health. After spending the first 10+ years of her career in academia, she made the transition to the digital health industry in late 2019. She currently serves as the Senior Director of Behavioral Science at Twill (recently acquired by DarioHealth), where she oversees the program of research, analyzes consumer data to derive insights for product optimization, and serves as a scientific advisor. She lives in Rhode Island with her two sons and her miniature dachshund, Pika.

Speaker: Dr. Renae Beaumont

Dr. Renae Beaumont is an award-winning clinical psychologist who is the founder of the online gaming-based therapy program Secret Agent Society (SAS).  Originally from Australia, Dr. Beaumont moved to the US nine years ago, and is currently a faculty member and clinician at Weill Cornell Medicine, New York Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Beaumont is passionate about using technologically innovative approaches to improve the mental health and wellbeing of youth and families. Her research has examined the feasibility, acceptability and effectiveness of wearables, virtual reality, artificial intelligence and therapeutic apps and platforms to assess and treat psychiatric conditions.
